Day 1: Gweta Lodge
Arrive at Gweta lodge in the afternoon and relax by the pool in the comfort of our rustic bar area, then sit down to a 3 course dinner. Overnight at Gweta Lodge in roomed accommodation.
Day 2: Nxai pan
Wake up to breakfast then head for Nxai Pan and arrive there to set up mobile tented camp and have lunch. Take a drive down to the legendary seven baobabs made famous by painter and explorer Thomas Baines in 1862 and enjoy a beautiful sunset. Then meander back to camp where you will relax and enjoy good food and refreshing drinks around a comfortable fire.
Day 3: Nxai Pan
Your day starts with a beautiful sunrise and a light breakfast before departing on a morning game drive to the Nxai Pan watering hole where you have an opportunity to see a variety of game. Head back to camp where you will enjoy a light lunch and a chance to have a relaxing few hours break. Then head out on your late afternoon drive and experience the vast open wilderness with a breath-taking sunset. Return to camp for an evening of good conversation and dinner.
Day 4: Makgadikgadi
Be prepared for an early start with a light breakfast and leave for Nxai pan and make your way to the Makgadikgadi National Park where you will be stopping off for a picnic lunch overlooking the scenic Boteti River. Then we make our way across the National park to the historical Greene’s and Chapman’s Baobabs, a stone’s throw away from the Ntwetwe Pans where a magical experience awaits you under the stars.
Day 5: Ntwetwe Pan
Take in the morning sunrise with a warm cup of coffee and get to see the Meerkats of the Makgadikgadi. Take a scenic drive back to Gweta Lodge, upon arrival freshen up and take the time to sample some traditional dishes. A late afternoon drive to the majestic baobabs for a great photo opportunity before heading down for sunset drinks by an open water pan.
Day 6: Gweta Lodge
Upon waking up you take a guided tour around the local village of Gweta before heading back to Gweta Lodge where your breakfast awaits you.
Includes: All meals, equipment, all park fees and some soft drinks.
Excludes: Transfers to and from Maun can be arranged at an additional cost.
